- UMCOR awarded a solidarity grant to the Pacific Northwest Conference to support initial response efforts to widespread wildfire in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
- After making landfall in Florida on August 5 and traveling up the coast into Georgia and North Carolina, Hurricane Debby spent nearly a week unleashing tornadoes and flooding, damaging homes and taking lives along the East Coast. UMCOR has awarded two solidarity grants to support Hurricane Debby response in the Florida and South Georgia annual conferences.
- Following Hurricane Beryl's July 8 landfall in Texas that brought wind and flooding, UMCOR is providing support for immediate relief efforts through four emergency grants to the Texas Annual Conference. As the storm traveled through the U.S., it continued to bring heavy rain and flooding to other states and regions. UMCOR is also supporting relief efforts in Vermont with a solidarity grant.
