All laity are called into the work of ministry and have a responsibility to proclaim the Good News and reach out to others in love. The West Ohio Conference Director of Lay Servant Ministries will chair the Conference Committee on Lay Servant Ministries and work in partnerships with district leaders, West Ohio Conference Director of Discipleship Resources, Leadership Development Lead Team, Conference Lay Leader(s) and District Committees on Lay Servant Ministries.
The West Ohio Conference Director of Lay Servant Ministries will also assist in the strategic alignment of the District Committees on Lay Servant Ministries as they:
- advocate for laity
- offer lay ministry courses in all eight districts
- work with local church pastors and lay leaders to build trust
- ensure laity are equipped and utilized in leadership
