Since 2008 the WOC has passed resolutions encouraging local church establishment of Green Teams, advocacy for environmental justice, support for Fossil Free UMC, and net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050.

As the Creation Care Task Force promotes these activities within the Conference, it seeks to determine what is already being done in local churches and where additional efforts are needed. To that end, we are asking local churches to share what they are already doing (Green Team, church garden, renewable energy, environmental advocacy, energy audits, Wild Church, etc.) and what they plan to do in the near future.
